"Living Strong"

Been looking for opportunities to learn and grow? Look no further! Come to the next “Living Strong ~ Going Deeper” class. Pastor Brown will be teaching a 3-session class designed to help you turn your talents into strengths. We’ll meet the first 3 Sunday evenings in September. You must have a Strength Finder 2.0 book and have taken the online assessment before attending this class. To sign-up, please contact Pastor Brown.

Gaithers Homecoming

Travel with us to a Gaither and Homecoming Friends concert being held at Jobing.com Arena, Monday evening, November 24. Tickets are limited and you can secure your seat at the concert by letting Linda Collins know you are interested - just circle “G” on your gray card on Sunday. The price for the concert will be approximately $45.00 plus we will need to pitch in and help pay for gas for our drivers. Seats are all on the lower level. Your check should be made payable to Mesa First and clearly marked “Gaithers”. Final payments will be due by October 12.

Band Of Brothers

Dear Band of Brothers,

A big thanks to Robert and Loretta for cooking breakfast for us on Saturday.
A big thanks to those who help take the golf cart/shuttle apart for restoration:
  • Harold Blankenship (two weeks after his open heart surgery)
  • Craig Bohall
  • Ira Brown
  • Marty Dornan
  • Stephen Garrett
  • Rick Kendall
  • Steve Kermode
  • Ray Leach
  • Robert Walker

A big thanks to those who took responsibility for the following parts of the restoration:

  • Robert Walker - sand blasting and painting
  • Steve Kermode - cutting the plywood deck
  • Mike Fagg – charger testing
  • Ira Brown - battery testing
  • Craig Bohall - cleaning of upholstery
Donations are being accepted as we may need a charger and/or batteries. Please place your donations in the offering and mark them Holy Roller or, if you prefer, Golf Cart Shuttle. I will keep you updated and let you know when we will be putting it back together. I am also looking for someone to lead this ministry, maintain the cart, schedule drivers, etc. Let me know if any of that fits you.
Pastor Ira
